Florida Farm Bureau Member Takes Part in Farmers Roundtable
Levy County Farm Bureau member Lynetta Usher Griner, an owner/operator of Usher Land and Timber, Inc. of Fanning Springs, took part in a Farmers Roundtable with more than a dozen farmers and representatives of the agricultural community to discuss a variety of topics with President Trump and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue in Washington D.C. on April 25. Topics included trade, regulatory reform and improving America’s rural infrastructure.
“I was truly honored to have the opportunity to represent and advocate for agriculture at this historic meeting at the White House,” said Griner. “The diverse group of farmers and producers from across our country spoke with one voice on the issues and we are confident that our new Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, knows and understands those issues and will for to find solutions to protect and advance our way of life.”
Secretary Perdue will chair a task force on rural prosperity created by an Executive Order signed by President Trump.
