Youth Speech Contest

Youth Speech Contest – Each year the Florida Farm Bureau Federation hosts a Youth Speech Contest, which begins at the county level. The Polk County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee organizes these events. The goals of the contest are to promote a stronger interest and clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture, and to provide opportunities for youth to gain public speaking experience and hone their public speaking skills.

2026 Competition Information

  • Date: August 25th, 2026
  • Time: 4:00 p.m. for high school competitors and 5:00 p.m. for middle school competitors
  • Location: Brenneman Room at the Polk Extension Office 1702 US HWY 17 S., Bartow, FL 33830
  • Applications are due by August 21st at 5:00 p.m.
