Winter Advisory Committee Conference Held in Ocala
The Agricultural Policy Division hosted the Winter Advisory Committee Conference on Feb. 7 in Ocala. More than 120 Florida Farm Bureau advisory committee members attended the one day conference.
Members received a full day of networking and in-depth training on topics ranging from gene editing, agricultural mergers, communicating to consumers and legislative issues. Speakers included Dr. Kevin Folta from the University of Florida, Randy Krotz from U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance and Dr. Bob Young from the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF).
The conference ended with AFBF President Zippy Duvall addressing the attendees as the keynote speaker. After the conference, President Duvall visited various farms to gain a better understanding of Florida’s diverse agricultural production and the issues that affect Florida.
