Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training
Fruit and vegetable growers and other individuals interested in learning about produce safety and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) are invited to attend a one-day workshop in Arcadia on March 13.
The course will provide a foundation of Good Agricultural Practices and co-management information, FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements and details on how to develop a farm food safety plan.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants are eligible to receive a certificate from the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).
Registration is also available for classes in Tavares on April 20 and Palmetto on May 17.
