FFBF Takes on DC MAY 8-10 For Annual Fly-in

The three topics of importance this year are agricultural labor reform, NAFTA renegotiations, and the 2018 Farm Bill. The timing of this year’s trip could offer an opportunity for attendees to advance these priorities in a positive direction. Media sources indicate trade negotiators are in the final stages of a revised NAFTA agreement, perhaps within weeks.
Furthermore, recent committee action on the 2018 Farm Bill could instigate a vote on the House floor sometime during the fly-in, which will allow Farm Bureau members to potentially participate in and witness a critical time in federal agricultural policy development.
