How Advisory Committees Work
Resolutions Submitted
County Farm Bureaus — including Polk County — submit policy resolutions on issues affecting their members throughout the year.
Committee Review
Advisory Committees of commodity and issue-area experts review submitted resolutions, research the issues, and make recommendations to FFBF leadership.
State Annual Meeting
Delegates from all 60 county Farm Bureaus gather each October to debate and vote on resolutions, setting FFBF's official policy positions.
FFBF Advisory Committees
Florida Farm Bureau maintains twelve standing advisory committees covering the full range of Florida's agricultural commodities and cross-cutting policy issues.
Apiculture
Addresses policy issues affecting Florida's beekeeping industry, including pollinator health, pesticide regulations, colony management, and the vital role of bees in agricultural production.
Aquaculture
Covers the farming of fish, shellfish, and aquatic plants in Florida — addressing water quality regulations, permitting, market access, and the sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry.
Citrus
Addresses issues affecting Florida's citrus growers, including disease management, market access, and regulatory policy impacting the citrus industry.
Water and Natural Resources
