Finalists Selected for Statewide Competitions

Achievement in Agriculture
Brittany Lee of Florida Blue Farms in Alachua County, Kelly Mosely of Amazing Grace Crop Maze in Clay County and Jimmy Hancock of Hancock Citrus Harvesting in Pasco County are the top three finalists in the Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement in Agriculture competition. The young farmers will undergo an on-site farm visit by a team of qualified judges as part of the final selection.

Discussion Meet
Polk County Farm Bureau members Michael Rogalsky of FFA Foundation, Kaylee Norris of Highland Precision Agriculture, Christian Spinosa of Dudley Putnam, Inc. and UF student Brendan Register of Volusia County have also been named finalists in the 2017 Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet competition. The four agriculturists will participate in a final discussion round at the Florida Farm Bureau State Meeting, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The winner of each competition will be named at the Florida Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. The recipients will represent Florida at the national competition in the American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Nashville, Jan. 5-10, 2018.
